IRVING, Texas (Jan. 28, 2025) – As the nation's oldest college football all-star game, the East-West Shrine Bowl is set to celebrate a century of excellence and philanthropy with its historic 100th edition, taking place Jan. 30 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
"The East-West Shrine Bowl holds a special place in the history of college football, providing a coveted platform for those aspiring to play at the next level," said NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell. "We are exceptionally pleased that it has returned to the DFW region for a second consecutive year, and we are thrilled to help them celebrate their 100
th edition. It's a great addition to North Texas with 100 percent of the proceeds going to charity and the Shriners Children's health care system."
More than 120 of college football's finest seniors, along with a select group of juniors who were cleared to play in all-star games this year by the NFL, will be coached by a full squad of NFL assistant coaches from the various teams. East-West Shrine Bowl week includes four days of practice, countless interviews with NFL scouts, and many speaking seminars from NFL officials, NFLPA officials and patients from Shriners Children's.
The Bowl
released its initial roster Jan. 17, which features NFF Campbell Trophy finalists
Tahj Brooks (RB, Texas Tech) and
Jackson Woodard (LB, UNLV) who will both play for the West. Quarterbacks on the roster include
Kyle McCord (Syracuse),
Cam Miller (North Dakota State),
Payton Thorne (Auburn) for the East, and
Max Brosmer (Minnesota),
Brady Cook (Missouri),
Ethan Garbers (UCLA) and
Shedeur Sanders (Colorado) who will play for the West.
The East-West Shrine Bowl moved to the DFW region last year, joining more than 25 football organizations, games and events based in North Texas, including the national headquarters of the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame in Irving. The DFW community embraced the event last year, establishing itself among the top destinations in the country for football at all levels of the game. A full listing of these entities can be found on the "
About" page on the NFF's website.

Only the Rose Bowl Game is older than the East-West Shrine Bowl among all post-season bowl games over the past century.
