Veteran administrator brings more than three decades of experience to his new role.

IRVING, Texas (Nov. 24, 2025) – The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced today that veteran athletics administrator David Flores, who most recently served as commissioner of the American Southwest Conference and previously as a vice president at the Big 12 Conference, has been named the NFF Director of Membership.

Flores, who brings more than three decades of collegiate administrative experience to the NFF, will manage the organization's membership programs and oversee the NFF Chapter Network. Spread across 120 outposts in 47 states, the NFF Chapter Network was launched in 1954 and today boasts 12,000 members who fulfill the Foundation's mission of building leaders through football at the grassroots level. Collectively, the chapters host more than 300 events each year, reaching more than 500,000 football players at 5,000 high schools. Each year, they award more than $1 million in scholarships and have distributed more than $29 million all-time.

"We are excited to have David Flores join the NFF team as our Director of Membership," said NFF President & CEO Steve Hatchell. "David has developed a wealth of experience over his career, including a deep appreciation for the development of student-athletes. He has a keen understanding of the demands on coaches and administrators, and his insights will play a key role in how the NFF can expand opportunities for student-athletes and strengthen our efforts to promote academic excellence. We are extremely excited to have him join our team."
