National Football Foundation Showcases the Power of Football Through New “I Played” Platform

IPlayed.org highlights personal reflections from former players and welcomes new voices to share their connection to the game.

IRVING, Texas [August 19, 2025] – The National Football Foundation (NFF) has expanded its "I Played" initiative with the introduction of IPlayed.org, a dedicated storytelling hub that brings together inspiring personal narratives from those who have played the game at any level. The site also features an open submission form, inviting former players to share their own stories and experiences.

Real Reflections from Those Who Lived the Game

Over the past year, the NFF has captured stories from individuals nationwide, spotlighting the profound, lasting impact football has had on their lives. IPlayed.org now serves as the central storytelling hub, celebrating the values of discipline, teamwork, and resilience, while encouraging others to add their voices to the growing archive.

"When you see these stories side by side, you understand just how much football can shape lives," said Steve Hatchell, President & CEO of the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame. "The NFF takes seriously our role in preserving the integrity of the game and making sure the positive impact it has on people's lives is front and center."
