Biography
LSU, the 2007 SEC Champions, defeated Ohio State, the 2007 Big Ten Champions, marking the Tigers' third national title (1958, 2003, & 2007) in the school's 114 years of football history. LSU last claimed the MacArthur Trophy and the national championship after the 2003 season. LSU now becomes the first team to win two BCS National Championship Games since the system was developed in 1998. LSU quarterback Matt Flynn claimed most outstanding player honors on offense while LSU defensive end Ricky Jean-Francois took home the accolades on defense.
