Biography

A radio play-by-play legend at Washington State University, Bob Robertson will receive the 2004 Chris Schenkel College Football Broadcaster of the Year Award, as announced today by The National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame. 

Set to enter his 38th year as the football radio voice of the Cougars, Robertson success and approval behind the mic has earned him Washington Sportscaster of the Year honors 15 times.  His football broadcasting career also includes stints at the University of Washington and the University of Notre Dame.  Demonstrating great knowledge and versatility, Robertson is also Washington State's 22-year basketball announcer and has called both soccer and baseball games in his illustrious career that spans more than half a century. 

Named 1978 co-WSU Dad of the Year, he and his wife Joanne have two sons and two daughters, some of which have worked along side Robertson throughout his career.
