National Football Foundation

Jerry McDougall is recognized as a legend in Connecticut high school history after 31 seasons as head football coach at Trumbull High School in Trumbull, Conn. He accumulated 265 wins, five Fairfield County Interscholastic Conference titles and three state titles. He retired as the all-time wins leader in Connecticut high school history.
 
McDougall is a member of the Connecticut and National High School Football Halls of Fame, as well as the Connecticut Sports Museum Hall of Fame. He was honored with the National Football Coach of the Year by the National High School Coaches Association in 1993 and the Connecticut Sports Writers Alliance Gold Key Award in 1997.
