Boasting a 4.41 GPA, Joel England also starred as a quarterback on the varsity football team all four years at Camp Verde High School (Ariz.). He earned Scholar-Athlete honors from a variety of organizations, including the Valley of the Sun Chapter of the NFF. England won numerous honors, including U.S. Air Force ROTC, Elks and Robert C. Byrd Honors scholarships. He was all-league, all-region and all-state in his junior and senior years, and he was selected for the Arizona All-Star Football team. England served as Key Club president, helping to organize special activities for mentally handicapped adults. England graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in legal studies, and he has served as a judge advocate for the U.S. Air Force since 2002.
