NFF National High School Scholar-Athlete Award Recipients
Biography
Justin Hopkin was one of the greatest scholar-athletes to come out of Burlington High School (Wyo.), graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA and serving as vice president of the National Honor Society. He was also named co-valedictorian of his graduating class, and he was twice elected as the Student of the Month during his four years. A tremendous athlete, Hopkin led his team to two state championships, and he was named Conference Player of the Year in 1995. An active participant in the community, he was a volunteer coach for the Little Huskies Basketball team and a member of TARGER Wyoming “Champions Against Drugs.” Hopkin played two seasons at the University of Wyoming, earning Mountain West Conference All-Academic honors in 1999. He attended the University of Washington for medical school, and he now practices in Lander, Wyo., specializing in internal medicine.
