Biography

A leader both on the field and in the classroom, Kevin Mayer quarterbacked traditional high school power St. Ignatius (Ohio) to the Ohio Division I State Championship in 1991. Mayer’s numerous accomplishments include being named team MVP and earning AP and UPI All-State recognition.

The honors continued to accumulate with his selection as the All-Independent Offensive Player of the Year, the 1991 Cleveland Touchdown Club Lou Groza Award winner in 1991 and NFF Northeast Ohio Chapter Scholar-Athlete. In the classroom, he maintained a 3.84 GPA while earning first honors every semester. Mayer ranked 28th in his graduating class of 289. Active in the community, he participated in the Student Community Involvement Program, the Christian Outreach Program and Sophomore Service.

Mayer graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, and he has been the managing director for Western Reserve Partners since 2014.
