Biography

Marc Laborsky achieved extraordinary excellence on the football field, in the classroom and in his community. Academically, he compiled a 3.7 GPA, which ranked third in his class of 157 at DePaul Regional High School (N.J.). A member of the National Honor Society and Honor Roll, Laborsky’s honors included the prestigious Rensallaer Science and Math Award, the Baush & Lomb Science Award and the DePaul Regional High School’s Pre Calculus Award.

He was a standout two-way player as a fullback and defensive end. Laborsky helped guide his team to a 27-6 record, two conference titles and to the Parochial finals twice during the three years that he started. As a team captain in his senior year, he rushed for 1,800 yards, registered 14 sacks and earned all-league, all-county, all-area and all-state honors. He was also a peer counselor, tutor and minister, and he volunteered his services in his parish and community blood drive.

Laborsky continued his success at Harvard, where he starred as a defensive end for the Crimson. He ranks third in career sacks at Harvard with 19, and he is tied for second for sacks in a season with 11. Those 11 sacks in 2001 earned him First Team All-Ivy League and Second Team Sports Network All-America honors. Harvard finished with a perfect 9-0 record that season and the team claimed the Ivy League Championship. Laborsky earned Honorable Mention All-Ivy League honors in 2000 as well.

He has been a trader at Greywolf Capital Management in New York City since 2004.
