NFF National High School Scholar-Athlete Award Recipients
Biography
Earning an impressive 96 GPA during his high school career, Micah Kimball ranked fourth in his class at Fonda-Fultonville High School (N.Y.) He received both the Scholastic Excellence Award and the Distinguished Athlete Award from the United States Marine Corps, and he was listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Students. He was awarded the Principal Leadership Award as a senior. He also received the Academic Pin Award from Fonda-Fultonville and the prestigious Rosalyn Marvin Memorial Award for Foreign Language.
Playing tough at tackle both on offense and defense, the 6-foot-4inch, 265-pound Kimball received Honorable Mention All-America honors from USA TODAY, and he was selected All-America by SuperPrep Magazine, PrepStar Magazine and CNN/Sports Illustrated. He garnered first team all-state honors both his junior and senior years, and he was ranked as one of the top ten players in New York State. Kimball was voted MVP of the New York/New Jersey All-Star Football Game. He was a member of the Explorer Club, and he was presented the DAR Good Citizen Award.
Kimball attended the University of Virginia, and he lettered in football in 2001 and 2002. He graduated with a bachelor’s in economics, and he has been a plant manager at CHEP in Albany, N.Y., since 2014.
