NFF Chapter Leadership Award Recipients
Biography
Following the death of her husband, George, a longtime high school and college football coach in the state of Wisconsin, Patty Chryst and her family formed the Wisconsin Chapter of the National Football Foundation. They named one of the many scholarships they award after George and it is awarded to the top scholar-athlete annually.
Chryst is a Madison native and a 1963 graduate of the University of Wisconsin. She served as principal of St. Mary’s Catholic School in Platteville, Wis., where she was recognized as the Platteville Citizen of the Year in 1994 and Distinguished Principal of the Year in 1997. She currently serves as a vice principal at Queen of Peace Catholic Grade School in her hometown of Madison.
