Biography
Paul Sorenson shined as a free safety for the Washington State Cougars, earning All-America honors in 1981, and he was selected to play in the East/West Shrine Game and the Japan Bowl. He was selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 1982 NFL Draft, and played one season for the Bengals and one for the San Francisco 49ers.
In 1986, Sorenson started his own sports marketing and promotions company, Impact Sports, Inc., and operated the company until 2002. Impact Sports’ clients included Washington State University, Arizona State University, the Big Sky Conference, the WIAA and many others. Sorenson is currently the vice president of sales at Vision Marketing. Sorenson has a long history with color commentary for Washington State, the Big Sky Conference and Eastern Washington University. He also had short stints of coaching at two high schools in Spokane, Wash. Sorenson founded the Inland Northwest Chapter of the National Football Foundation and served as president and on the board of directors.
