Biography

Driven by his desire to succeed and passion for football, Peter Wood rose to the top of both the academic and athletic worlds in high school while taking one of the most demanding curriculums available.

As a student officer and National Honor Society member at St. John's High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, Peter compiled an impressive 4.11 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, taking several AP courses. A master of the French language and Dartmouth Book Award recipient, Peter exhausted the high school's curriculum and enrolled at a local college to take two French classes while still in high school.

A three-year starter at quarterback, Peter was a two-time selection to the Division I All-Star team and three-time member of the All-Conference squad. Behind center, Wood guided his team to the Massachusetts State Championship as a junior and was the recipient of the Theodore Damko Award as the MVP of the Division I Super Bowl. Named Co-Captain of the Senior All-Star game, Wood was twice named the High School Player of the Week by the Boston Globe.

As if academics and football were not enough to keep Peter busy, he found time to participate in the Steppingstone Community Theater, the French Club, the Drama Club and Mock Trials. Beyond football, Wood was an assistant coach in the local Babe Ruth Youth Baseball League, competed for the St. John's baseball and track teams and set the school record for the standing broad jump.

Peter played football at Harvard University while earning his bachelor's in chemistry. He is currently a medical scribe for Essia Health at the Milford Regional Medical Center.
