NFF National High School Scholar-Athlete Award Recipients
Biography
Quinterol Mallette compiled a 4.74 GPA and was the valedictorian of his graduating class of 160 students while also starring as a two-way player on the football team at Plainfield High School (Conn.). A National Honor Society member and National Merit Scholarship semifinalist, he also participated on the track team, drama club and school band. On the gridiron, Mallette played as a defensive end, tailback and kick returner. He won Plainfield’s team player award in 1991, and he captained the 1992 NFF Southeastern Connecticut Chapter Scholar-Athlete team. Mallette graduated from Duke University with Bachelor of Science degrees in biomedical engineering and psychology. He is currently a senior analyst at SWK Holdings, Inc., a publically-traded health care-focused specialty finance firm.
