Biography

Rich Stankewicz defined an all-around student-athlete. Compiling a perfect 4.0 GPA in the classroom. Stankewicz was first in his class, and he was a Commended National Merit Scholar. He was also a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Society. Stankewicz was equally talented in football, serving as team captain for Henderson High School (Pa.), and he was awarded the Military Order of the Purple Heart Defensive Player of the Year. A two-way starter, Stankewicz earned AP First Team All-State honors at linebacker, and he was named All-Chesmont Conference First Offense as a tight end. He was selected to the Daily News All-Area First Team and the Philadelphia Inquirer All-Southeastern First Team. Stankewicz served as class treasurer as a junior and senior, and he was listed in Who’s Who in American High School Students.

He was a three-time Academic All-District selection as the long snapper for Penn State, and he earned Academic All-America honors in 1999. Stankewicz earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Penn State, and he has served as a product expert for CSC, a global leader in information technology services, since September 2011.
