Biography
Rich Young is a partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP in the firm’s Colorado Springs office, where he has built a distinguished legal career spanning more than four decades. A graduate of Stanford University, Young earned both his undergraduate and law degrees before embarking on a career as a trial lawyer with a broad and influential practice.

Concentrating in sports law, construction law, and nonprofit representation, Young has handled complex, high-profile matters across the country and internationally. His work has included litigation related to the construction of the Staples Center in Los Angeles and the development of a natural gas processing facility in Alaska. Widely regarded as a leader in his field, he has been named the Best Sports Lawyer in Colorado.
Young has represented numerous prominent sports organizations, including the World Anti-Doping Agency, the United States Anti-Doping Agency, the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, USA Swimming, the International Weightlifting Federation, and other Olympic National Governing Bodies and international federations.
In addition to his legal practice, Young has been deeply committed to the National Football Foundation for more than a decade, providing trusted counsel, thoughtful guidance, and steadfast leadership in support of its mission and operations.
