Biography

Hailing from Newark, Ohio, Bailey is a 1963 graduate of Newark Catholic High School where he played varsity football, basketball and baseball. Bailey's exploits on the gridiron allowed him to receive a football scholarship to Xavier University. A defensive back, he set school records for single-game, single-season and career interceptions. A team captain as a senior, Bailey was named to the Xavier Legion of Honor.

After completing his playing career, Bailey attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law. Upon graduation Bailey began his career as a trial attorney. He presently practices as a partner with the Drew Law Firm in Cincinnati. Bailey also coaches defensive backs at Catholic High School in Park Hills, Ky.

“I have been fortunate to be involved in the local Chapter of the National Football Foundation, and I get great pleasure in honoring local student athletes who have excelled on both the football field, in the classroom and in life itself,” said Bailey. “I also thoroughly enjoy following some of the young men that we have honored as they achieve greatness after their graduation from high school. My association with this organization gives me the satisfaction of repaying the debt I believe I owe to football for the impact it has had on my life.”

Bailey has been involved with the Greater Cincinnati Chapter for more than two decades, and has served as the chapter president for the past eight years. The chapter canvasses southwest Ohio and northern Kentucky, distributing from $10,000 to $15,000 in scholarships to more than a dozen scholar-athletes at its annual banquet.
