NFF Outstanding Football Official Award Recipients
Biography
A standout athlete at Colorado State University, Robinson ran track and played both basketball and football while developing a love for officiating that would be come a catalyst for a successful career.
Starting his career in the Colorado high school circuit for six years, Robinson's career led to Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A) football in 1975, where he spent the next 25 years working games in the Western Athletic and Mountain West conferences.
Currently, Robinson is the Assistant Commissioner of Officials for the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA), working with officials from all sports and officials from the CHSAA music and speech competitions. He also serves as a football replay official for the Mountain West.
Active in the community, he is a board member of the National Association of Sports Officials, Regis Jesuit High School, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company and served on the Football Rules Editorial Committee of the National Federation of State High School Associations.
