National Football Foundation

The Miss-Lou Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame serves not only the high schools of the Natchez area of Mississippi, but also the area that lies just across the Mississippi River in Louisiana. 

The annual scholar-athlete banquet held in February is a much-anticipated event where seven well deserving student-athletes are recognized for being leaders in school and the community, and for outstanding play on the football field. Scholarships totaling $10,000 are distributed to the group to help defray the cost of attending college. The money for the scholarships is raised from the two-day Joe Fortunato golf tournament held each year in May. The chapter also presents the Distinguished American and Contribution to Amateur Football Awards.
