Southern Arizona Chapter

The mission of the National Football Foundation Southern Arizona Chapter is to develop and promote leadership, character and academic excellence through amateur football. We recognize young people in the Tucson region through our High School Scholar-Athlete awards and our various partnerships with youth and athletic organizations; football and cheer included.

The Southern Arizona Chapter was established in 1997 by Mike Lude and Burt Kinerk and serves as the conduit for nominating All-American, University of Arizona Football players and retired coaches into the College Football Hall of Fame. The Chapter has promoted four (4) College Hall of Fame players and three (3) College Hall of Fame coaches. A National Football Foundation award recipient who is very dear to the Southern Arizona Chapter is Johnny Peña, the National High School Scholar-Athlete for 2013.

The NFFSAC is an Arizona 501(c)(3).
