Riverside County Chapter

The Riverside County Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame was formed in November of 2003 and represents over 50 high school football programs with over 6,000 student athletes.

The First Annual Riverside County Scholar-Athlete Banquet was held on Sunday, March 21, 2004 at the Glen Eden Country Club with overwhelming results. An audience of over 200 was in attendance to honor the Chapter's 14 Scholar-Athletes. The event was also attended by local media and dignitaries, including Master of Ceremonies, Mr. Rob Fukuzaki, who anchors sports for ABC Eyewitness News. The Chapter also awarded its first scholarship.

Since the first Banquet, the Riverside County Chapter has honored at least 20 Scholar-Athletes each year and attendance at the annual event has grown to 350, capacity for our venue. With the support of Sponsors, including our major Sponsor, the Soboba Band of Luiseno Indians, the Chapter has awarded 49 scholarships worth $37,000. Master of Ceremonies have included Lindsay Soto and John Jackson of Fox Sports and Featured Speakers have included former area NFF Scholar-Athletes Jason Fife and Tom Malone, both College football standouts who later signed with NFL teams.

The Riverside County Chapter is now actively soliciting Corporate Sponsors and Partners to expand its' scholarship and educational programs. The Chapter is seeking new members and has also set a goal of 100% membership from Riverside County High Schools. Information can be found on our website, www.nffriversidecounty.com
