National Football Foundation

Since 1996, the Middle Georgia Chapter of the National Football Foundation has held its annual scholar-athlete banquet in April. This event showcases local amateur football and its impact on the community.

Nineteen high school student-athletes are recognized for on field exploits, academic achievement and community involvement, setting these young men apart as true role models to their peers. An additional award presented at the affair is the Distinguished American, given to an adult who has a football background and has given greatly to the community. A noted feature speaker is the culmination of a memorable evening.
