S.M. McNaughton Chapter

The S.M. McNaughton Chapter is located in Shreveport, La. This outstanding chapter holds its annual scholar-athlete banquet in February at the East Ridge Country Club.

Student-athletes from the seven local high schools are recognized for performance on the gridiron, but more importantly, in the classroom. Each student receives a scholarship for college tuition with $3,500 being awarded this year. The chapter also presents a Distinguished American Award and a Contribution to Amateur Football Award. Officers of the S.M. McNaughton Chapter also comprise the board of the Independence Bowl committee.
