Greater Morris County Chapter

The National Football Foundation was founded in 1947 and has completed their 73rd year of service in 2020. Our Chapter’s President, Matt Sellitto, was born the same year (1947) as the NFF founding and has been a member of the NFF since 1988. He has serviced 32 years as both a member in the Essex County chapter and founder and President of both the Greater Morris County and Collier County chapters.

Our chapter has recognized the best and the brightest high school football athletes in Morris, Sussex and Warren counties.  With the dedication of our Chapter members we expect to continue to promote both sportsmanship and educational growth for the 38 schools we represent.

As we advance into our 26th year the Chapter’s Board members, with the support of Atlantic Health Systems, have decided that we will begin a collaboration with Morris Sussex Sports (MSS).  This14 year old media company with over 40,000 monthly visits to its site has a  goal of providing unique coverage of sports. Since both organizations serve the identical areas this relationship will afford our Chapter the opportunity for the development some new exciting web based tools and athlete promotions.

In addition to its scholar-athlete program, the chapter presents a Distinguished American Award, Contribution to Amateur Athletics Award, and an award to an outstanding official from the county.
