Corrigan/Faircloth Chapter

The Corrigan/Faircloth Chapter of the National Football Foundation has sustained an outstanding reputation since its establishment in 1991.

The chapter, named after two esteemed contributors to both the Foundation and amateur football, covers the three-county Triad area of Central North Carolina. The chapter recognizes Gene Corrigan, the well-respected former athletics director, former Commissioner of the Atlantic Coast Conference and a former president of the NCAA, and Bradley Faircloth, the 1998 national winner of the NFF's Outstanding Football Official Award, as its namesakes.

Every year, the chapter holds a Scholar-Athlete Banquet during the lat week of April, rotated within each of the three counties: Alamace, Forsyth and Guilford. The chapter awards a $1,000 scholarship to every scholar-athlete nominated from each of the 35 schools in the Triad area. The top scholar-athlete receives an additional $500. At its 28th annual banquet in April, 2019 the Chapter awarded $33,500 to 33 scholar-athletes.
