Oregon Chapter

One of the NFF's oldest branches, the Oregon Chapter continues to provide support for amateur football in the metropolitan area. All members are dedicated to the ideals of the NFF and College Hall of Fame. The  chapter supports student-athletes in 46 4A schools and 14 3A schools. Principals, athletic directors, coaches, officials and members of the business community make up the bulk of our membership.

Each December, our chapter sponsors the Scholar-Athlete Banquet, which is attended by more than 800 supporters of the foundation. Twelve deserving senior football players are honored for commitment in the classroom, service in community and football ability. A total of $20,000 in scholarships is awarded to these young men at the banquet.

In addition, we sponsor a football coaching clinic in partnership with Portland State University. This clinic is designed to help youth and high school coaches become better teachers of the great game of football.

Each summer, we host our annual golf tournament, which is our major revenue source for our scholarship program. The University of Oregon, Oregon State and Portland State play a major role in continuing to support our fundraising efforts. We also sponsor the awards to the players at the annual State/Metro Football All-Star Game played in June.
