The Lehigh Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation has represented amateur football in the area for over 50 years, covering 34 high schools as well as six colleges and universities.
The Scholar-Athlete Banquet, currently held in Northhampton after years in Bethelehem and Easton, is the highlight of the chapter's activity each year. Scholar-athletes from each of the schools in the area are honored for the achievements on the field and in the classroom. In addition to recognizing the newest generation of players, Lehigh Valley identifies past players with induction in its prestigious Hall of Fame. Previous gridiron greats including legends and College Football Hall of Famers such as Lou Michaels, Dennis Onkotz and Chuck Bednarik have been honored.
