IRVING, Texas (Dec. 29, 2016) – The National Football Foundation (NFF) & College Hall of Fame announced today a record-breaking year for its Institutional Academic Membership program. On the heels of a high-water mark in 2015, the NFF reached new heights again with record levels of support from its Institutional Academic Members in 2016.
“We are thrilled by the overwhelming response to our academic membership program this year,” said NFF President and CEO
Steve Hatchell. “These institutions are huge advocates for our game, and because of their support, the National Football Foundation remains the leading voice in the promotion of football and its unique ability to develop leaders. We want to thank each of our members for joining us in ensuring the future of our sport. And we would especially like to thank Duke University and
Kevin White for joining North Carolina State as our Lifetime Members.”
Each year, the NFF invites universities, colleges, conferences and bowl games from across the country to support the organization through its Institutional Academic Membership Program. The program allows the NFF to greatly enhance the power of football's collective voice while actively building a stronger national platform for the game with community leaders, educators, and the media.
Listed below is a special group of institutions, led by athletics directors, conference commissioners and bowl executive directors, who have continued their support as NFF Institutional Academic Members in 2016 and make it clear that Football Matters
®. The program is open to all football-playing institutions at every level of college football. Email Ron Dilatush at
