Ziggy was in military service, then returned to Notre Dame and was the regular right tackle when the Irish won national championships in 1946 and 1947. In those two seasons Notre Dame went 17-0-1 and out-scored the opposition 562-76. He made the INS and NEA All-America teams in 1947, then played two years with the Chicago Rockets of the All-America Conference. Czarobski went into civic work and was administrative assistant to the Illinois Secretary of State. He devoted much energy to charity and once raised $202,000 in a single day for Maryville Academy, a children's home. He died in July 1984.
